The tunnel section is about 6.464 kilometers long, and the single traffic length is more than 5.96 kilometers, which is the longest river-crossing tunnel in Wanjiang area. The design standard is two-way six-lane, with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The shield tunnel scheme is adopted to cross the tributaries of the Wujiang River, Xiaohuangzhou and the main channel of the Yangtze River in turn. The winning bid section is Huashan side (south bank of the Yangtze River), including open-cut section, shield receiving shaft and entrance and exit ramp.
