According to foreign media reports, United Solar Holding , a solar polysilicon manufacturer, has announced that it has received more than $900 million (about 6.267 billion yuan ) in financing. It is used to complete the construction of its polysilicon manufacturing plant with an annual output of 100,000 tons in Oman.
It is understood that the plant, with a total investment of 1.6 billion US dollars (about 11.2 billion RMB), is located in the Suhar Free Zone of Oman, and is expected to start polysilicon production in the first quarter of 2026. It can produce up to 40 GW of solar modules per year at full capacity.
In addition, according to the company, the plant will produce polysilicon with full traceability in accordance with leading international standards, including "U.S. Foreign Entity Concern" (FEOC) requirements.
It is noteworthy that the company has completed a number of financing for the polysilicon plant project.
These include the company's $ 480 million debt financing from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and other cooperative banks in August last year; Over $ 400 million in term loans and working capital loans from local banks .
According to the official website of United Solar Holding, the company was founded in May 2023 and headquartered in Oman, focusing on the global polysilicon market. It was founded by LONGGEN ZHANG (Zhang Longgen), former chief financial officer of JinkoSolar and former vice chairman of Daqo Energy.
