Recently, Xiexin Group signed a cooperation agreement with Kemet, an Egyptian electric power company, to build a 5G W solar cell and component production industrial park in Egypt. It covers an area of 280000 square meters.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, the park will have the production capacity of 5G W solar cells and components. The total investment is 500 million US dollars (about 3.5 billion RMB).
It is worth noting that while signing the contract with Xiexin Group, Kemet, an Egyptian electric power company, has also signed a cooperation agreement with Chuneng New Energy , a Chinese energy storage equipment manufacturer . A $ 200 million (1.4 billion yuan) battery energy storage manufacturing plant will be built in Egypt with an annual capacity of 5G Wh ; A memorandum of understanding was signed with TBEA to work together to localize the grid connection system in Egypt and establish the country's first plant to produce solar inverters .
