On May 12, the 400 MW/1.2 GWh new independent energy storage project in Weiyang District of Xi'an was officially started.
It is understood that the project is located in Weiyang District, with a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan, covering an area of about 88 mu, with a construction scale of 400 MW/1.2 GWh and a single maximum charging and discharging capacity of 1.2 million kilowatt-hours, which can meet the daily electricity demand of 60000 households.
The project adopts the hybrid energy storage technology of "lithium iron phosphate + all-vanadium liquid flow", which has the advantages of rapid response and long-term energy storage. After completion, it will be connected to the northern power grid of Xi'an, with a response time of milliseconds. After the project is completed and put into operation, the annual discharge capacity will be 610 million degrees.
