According to foreign media reports, recently, the People's Court of Quang Ninh Province of Vietnam made a first-instance judgment on the silver paste theft case of Jinko Energy Vietnam Factory . Among them, four theft workers were sentenced to 16-17 years in prison, two stolen goods sellers were sentenced to 7 years each, and six defendant were sentenced to 79 years in total.
According to the disclosure, the four thieves involved in the case were all front-line employees of the screen printing production line of Jinko Energy Vietnam Factory. In the process of solar cell production, four thieves took advantage of the loopholes in the inspection link to intercept silver paste privately, and carefully packed the stolen silver paste, hid it inside the special rubber gloves for work, smuggled it out of the factory with their personal entrainment, and then sold it in batches for cash, so as to avoid the security inspection in the factory area.
From August 2024 to July 2025, four people stole silver paste raw materials from factories many times in the way of "ants moving" . After verification by the judicial organs, the criminal gang stole 371.5 kilograms of silver paste from the factory, involving a total value of 8.52 billion Vietnamese Dong . It is equivalent to about 2.2 million yuan .
It is noteworthy that after the division of labor and theft, four people resold all the stolen silver paste to two local purchasers. The two buyers knew that the silver paste was stolen from the factory , and they still bought it illegally.
Finally, on August 31, the court made a formal judgment in the first trial: the four theft workers were sentenced to 16-17 years in prison for stealing goods for a long time; the two sellers of stolen goods were each sentenced to seven years in prison, and the six were sentenced to 79 years in prison in total.
