Minjiang Dongfengyan Navigation-Power Junction is the second cascade of Minjiang Port Navigation-Power Comprehensive Development Project, which is mainly for shipping, combined with power generation and water supply. In the first quarter, Dongfengyan Navigation and Power Hub completed an investment of 520 million yuan, accounting for 34.7% of the annual target.

As an inland province, the cost of bulk cargo logistics in Sichuan has remained high for a long time, and the development of water transport is a key measure to reduce the cost of logistics in the whole society and enhance the competitiveness of "Sichuan cargo". Last year, Sichuan launched a three-year campaign of "unimpeded river" shipping revitalization and development, and completed a fixed asset investment of 6.027 billion yuan in waterway transportation throughout the year, with an investment target of 6.5 billion yuan this year. In the first quarter, the province's waterway construction investment completed 2 billion 290 million yuan, an increase of 82% over the same period last year.

The Yangtze River Golden Waterway ends at Yibin in Sichuan and opens the Minjiang River Waterway, which is equivalent to extending the Yangtze River Golden Waterway 162 kilometers to the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone and reaching Leshan.

Minjiang Port Navigation and Power Comprehensive Development Project covers the construction of four-level navigation and power hubs in Laomukong, Dongfengyan, Qianwei and Longxikou, as well as waterway regulation and port construction. After completion, the Leshan-Yibin section of the Minjiang River will form a "high-speed" on water to help "Sichuan goods" reach the sea.

The Dongfengyan Navigation and Power Junction Project is divided into left and right banks, and the right bank ship lock and flood discharge gate are now being pushed forward with all efforts. During the construction period, the Minjiang River, as a waterway, can not be cut off, which means that the construction on the left bank can only be started after the completion of the construction on the right bank. "If the right bank is delayed for a month or two, the left bank will have to wait until the next dry season." The construction period is not waiting for people, but the construction process is facing a "bottleneck" problem: due to the limited construction roads in the construction area, large trucks can not get in. The only way is to build a temporary wharf on the other side of the Minjiang River to ship the building materials to the construction shore.

"The transportation of raw materials is directly related to the progress of construction, and once the supply is cut off, the work will be stopped." Chen Wei, project manager of Minjiang Dongfengyan Navigation and Power Hub Project of CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., said that the project team reserved two days of cargo in advance and accurately arranged the construction plan to ensure seamless connection among loading, unloading, transportation and use. Up to now, more than 60000 tons of reinforced concrete have been transported.

Relying on the boat relay, the project team grabbed precious time. At present, 56% of the main structure of the ship lock of Dongfengyan Navigation and Power Junction has been completed, and 64% of the main structure of the 13-hole sluice on the right bank has been completed. It is expected that the navigation of the ship lock and the flow of the 13-hole sluice will be realized in October this year.
