China Resources Cement invested 139 million yuan, and Hainan's first fly ash resource utilization project was put into operation.

According to the Department of Ecology and Environment of Hainan Province on the 8th, the project of co-disposal of fly ash and hazardous waste in cement kilns in Changjiang, Hainan, has been officially put into operation. The project uses fly ash from domestic waste incineration power plants in Hainan Province as raw material, opening up the "last kilometer" of disposal of fly ash from domestic waste incineration.

This cement kiln co-disposal project of fly ash and hazardous waste, which was built by Huarun Cement (Changjiang) Co., Ltd. with an investment of 139 million yuan, is the first fly ash resource utilization project in Hainan Province, with a planned disposal of 50,000 tons of fly ash per year and 29,200 tons of hazardous waste per year. Since it was put into operation at the beginning of this year, 5200 tons of fly ash and 3800 tons of hazardous waste have been treated, and washing by-products such as crystalline salt have been produced.

The project takes the fly ash from the domestic waste incineration power plant in Hainan Province as the raw material, adopts the mature and reliable technology of "fly ash washing + evaporation desalination + cement kiln co-disposal" in China, and converts the fly ash into cement raw material after the pretreatment process of washing and desalination, which reduces the environmental risk brought by the traditional disposal method. It has opened up the "last kilometer" of domestic waste incineration fly ash disposal.
