Recently, the 700 C heat-resistant concrete independently developed by East China Material Xuzhou Company has been successfully applied to a key iron and steel industry upgrading project. In
response to the needs of customer application scenarios, Xuzhou Company of

East China Materials has successfully tackled such pain points as easy expansion of traditional aggregates, decline of high temperature strength of cement base materials, and difficulty in pumping with low water-binder ratio for four months. The R & D team abandoned the traditional aggregate which is easy to collapse, selected the sand with high thermal stability to resist the expansion of aggregate, and through the volume method combined with gradation optimization, accurately allocated to inhibit the volume distortion at high temperature. In order to resist the decline of strength, the team simulated the long-term service environment at 700 C to complete nearly 100 groups of comparative tests of mix proportion, repeatedly verified and locked the exclusive proportion of high temperature strength to ensure that the material "does not anneal" at extreme temperatures. In order to solve the pumping problem, the team accurately adjusted and repeatedly tested the admixture, and successfully controlled the slump in the appropriate pumping range under the premise of low water-binder ratio, so that the special materials bid farewell to the embarrassment of "easy to use and difficult to construct".

Slow cooling pit application scenario
This slow cooling pit application scenario is a closed cooling facility built underground in the workshop of a steel plant with a thermal insulation cover plate, which is mainly used for closed slow cooling of continuous casting billets (500-700 ℃). In the process, the hydrogen in the steel is fully overflowed to prevent white spots; the solidification residual stress of the casting blank is released to avoid internal cracks, corner cracks or surface cracks caused by air cooling, and the concrete quality is required to be high. In July this year, heat-resistant concrete was successfully applied to the slow cooling pit floor pouring of the key project of upgrading the iron and steel industry in Xuzhou region. The measured data show that the concrete strength remains stable at 700 ℃, the size is almost not deformed, the appearance is good after burning and there is no through crack, and the quality of on-site pouring is up to the standard.
In the future, East China Material Xuzhou Company will continue to cultivate the field of special concrete and provide solutions for more specific application scenarios.
