the People's Republic of China recently issued the Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on Imposing Tariffs on Some Imported Goods Originating in the United States (the Third Batch), hereinafter referred to as the Announcement, which reads as follows:
A 10% tariff will be imposed on about $300 billion of goods imported from China, which will be implemented in two batches from September 1 and December 15, 2019. The US measures have led to the escalation of Sino-US economic and trade frictions, greatly harming the interests of China, the United States and other countries, and seriously threatening the multilateral trading system and the principle of free trade. < br/>
In accordance with the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, the Regulations on Import and Export Tariffs of the people's Republic of China and other laws and regulations as well as the basic principles of international law, the Tariff Commission of the State Council has decided to impose tariffs on 5078 taxable items and about 75 billion US dollars of imported goods originating in the United States.
From 12:01 on September 1, 2019, a 10% tariff will be imposed on 270 taxable items listed in the first part of Annex 1, a 10% tariff on 646 taxable items listed in the second part of Annex 1, and a 5% tariff on 64 taxable items in the third part of Annex I. A tariff of 5% will be imposed on 737 taxable items in Part IV of Annex 1. Including a lot of 12 categories of related products in the cement industry.

From 12:01 on December 15, 2019, a 10% tariff will be imposed on 749 taxable items listed in Part I of Annex 2 and a 10% tariff will be imposed on 163 taxable items listed in Part II of Annex 2. A tariff of 5% is imposed on 634 taxable items listed in Part III of Annex 2 and a tariff of 5% is imposed on 1,815 taxable items listed in Part IV of Annex 2, including a large number of 10 cement-related products. < br/>
