12, as a 5000-ton empty test ship slowly sailed out of the Xinfu Water Comprehensive Service Area of the Pinglu Canal, the real ship test of the Pinglu Canal was officially launched.
It is reported that the test will be carried out in stages to verify the navigation under conventional and unfavorable conditions and to test the efficiency of navigation marks along the whole line, and to comprehensively test the suitability of the canal channel, lock, anchorage, service area and navigation AIDS, so as to prepare for the navigation of the Pinglu Canal in September this year. Four representative ships were deployed
in this test, covering the main types of navigable ships, such as 5000 tons of heavy load, 5000 tons of empty load, 3000 tons of heavy load and 1000 tons of heavy load, and the test voyage covered the Shaping section of the canal, the watershed section, the main stream section of the Qinjiang River, the urban section of Qinzhou and the estuary section. And simultaneously carry out the three major hub double-line ship lock ship lock, bend meeting, the same direction to catch up, turn around control, tidal berthing and departure, night navigation and other subjects measured.
In view of six types of high-risk adverse working conditions, such as hub discharge, tributary flood confluence, gale and spring tide superposition, the pre-test will be carried out at an opportune time, and the special test of day and night vision, lighting quality and layout effect of 206 representative navigation marks along the whole line will be completed simultaneously.
In order to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the test, the test ship will carry Beidou positioning, UAV flow field monitoring, mooring tension sensor, host condition acquisition and other equipment throughout the test, real-time collection of ship track, drift angle, heel angle, channel flow rate, safe distance between ships and other data. At the same time, the Pinglu Canal Construction Management Team has established a multi-unit linkage support mechanism for maritime affairs, construction and emergency response, implemented water traffic control in different spaces and time periods, equipped with emergency escort speedboats and related emergency disposal equipment, and done a good job of pre-verification of crew qualifications and ship seaworthiness, so as to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the test. After the
test, the construction management team will compile the seaworthiness test report of the real ship and the efficiency test report of the navigation mark according to the test results, sort out the navigation optimization suggestions and standardized navigation methods, clarify the navigation management and control requirements of each section, and provide technical basis for the safe operation of the canal.
Pinglu Canal is the backbone project of the new land-sea corridor in the west and the first canal project to reach the sea at the national level since the founding of New China, opening up a river-sea direct connection from the Xijiang River to the Beibu Gulf. The 134.2-kilometer-long Pinglu Canal, which is navigable to 5,000-ton ships, is scheduled to open in September this year, which will further smooth the access to the sea in southwest China and facilitate economic and trade exchanges between China and ASEAN and the world.
