On April 10, the National Energy Administration held a meeting to promote the regional pilot work of hydrogen energy in the field of energy, to sort out the pilot work in an all-round way, to focus on the difficult problems, to deploy the key tasks in the next stage, and to accelerate the cultivation of the future industry of hydrogen energy. Song Hongkun, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the National Energy Administration, attended the meeting and made a speech.

The meeting held that the National Energy Administration organized and implemented nine hydrogen energy regional pilot projects in the field of energy, based on the resource endowment and industrial foundation of each region, to form a differentiated development pattern and start smoothly as a whole, which will provide important practical support for exploring the diversified development path of hydrogen energy industry, solving the problems of cross-sectoral and cross-sectoral coordination, and improving the management system of the national hydrogen energy industry.

The meeting pointed out that we should have a deep understanding of the great strategic significance of developing the hydrogen energy industry. Hydrogen energy is an important direction of global energy technology revolution and industrial transformation, a key track for China to build a modern industrial system and cultivate new quality productivity , and a strategic grasp to ensure national energy security and promote green and low-carbon energy transformation. The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have thoroughly implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, continuously improved the top-level design, and issued a series of supporting policies and measures, such as implementation plans, technological innovation, standards and norms, and demonstration applications, to promote China's hydrogen energy industry to gradually enter a critical stage of large-scale and industrial development.

The meeting emphasized that the regional pilot project of hydrogen energy is the key to solve the development problems of hydrogen energy industry and promote the high-quality development of the industry. First, we should anchor the development goals of the 15th Five-Year Plan and the construction of a strong energy country, adhere to local conditions and coordinate measures, and make greater efforts to promote the pilot projects to go deep and solid. Second, we should strengthen scientific and technological innovation and promote the transformation of advanced technological achievements and the demonstration and application of the first set of equipment. Third, we should accelerate the reform of the system and boldly promote the innovation of hydrogen energy trading, green certification and other mechanisms. Fourth, we should increase policy support and strengthen factor guarantee. Fifth, we should strengthen the coordination of pilot projects, establish the idea of "a chess game", consolidate the responsibilities of all parties, and unite the development efforts. The pilot project of hydrogen energy region has achieved solid results, providing strong support for ensuring national energy security, promoting green and low-carbon energy transformation, and accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system.
