On April 1, Huaneng Yili Gongliu Industrial Park low-carbon transformation 500000 kilowatt photovoltaic project officially started construction.

On April 1, Huaneng Yili Gongliu Industrial Park low-carbon transformation 500000 kilowatt photovoltaic project officially started construction.

It is understood that the project is located in Tastobie Township, Gongliu County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang, with an average elevation of about 1040m, a total of three sites are planned, with a total installed capacity of 500MW and an area of 1171.1 hectares. It is constructed by Huaneng (Gongliu) New Energy Power Generation Co., Ltd .

The project plans to adopt 615 Wp and 620 Wp monocrystalline silicon double-sided photovoltaic modules , and configure 50 MW/100 M Wh energy storage battery system. A new 220kV booster station is expected to be completed and put into operation on December 31, 2026.
