Two clinker production capacity replacement projects of Gezhouba Cement were cancelled.

22 July, The Economic and Credit Department of Hubei Province issued the Announcement on Cancellation of the Supplementary Capacity Replacement Plan for the 4830 Tons Per Day Cement Clinker Production Line Project of Gezhouba (Zhongxiang) Cement Co., Ltd. "Announcement on Cancellation of Supplementary Capacity Replacement Scheme for 5636 Tons per Day Cement Clinker Production Line Project of Gezhouba (Jiayu) Cement Co., Ltd.". The

two replacement schemes failed to be organized and implemented for some reasons, and the application for cancellation was submitted after the consensus of Gezhouba (Zhongxiang) Cement, Gezhouba (Jiayu) Cement and Gezhouba (Xingshan) Cement. The Provincial Economic and Credit Department made a revocation decision in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Implementation of Capacity Replacement in the Cement and Glass Industry (2024 edition) (No.206 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology).

According to the previously released capacity replacement plan, Gezhouba Xingshan Cement has withdrawn from a 2500t/d clinker production line and split its capacity, of which 1245t/d capacity is used to supplement the 4000t/d clinker line in Zhongxiang, Gezhouba. After completion, the production capacity will reach 4830t/d; the remaining 1255t/d production capacity will be matched with Gezhouba Jiayu 4800t/d clinker production line, and the production capacity will reach 5636t/d after completion. Both projects will implement capacity replacement according to the ratio of 1.5: 1.
