On March 9, the Forestry Bureau of Wuwei City, Anhui Province issued an administrative penalty with the document number of Wu Lin Fa Jue Zi [2025] No.59. Penalty information shows that Wuwei Leida Cement Co., Ltd. was fined 919.022 million yuan for the destruction of forest land caused by the construction of temporary access roads.
Illegal facts: In June 2024, Wuwei Leida Cement Co., Ltd. built a temporary access road for removing the tower foundation of 110 KV line in the forest land of Taipingshan Mountain Farm, Tuanshan Administrative Village, Shijian Town, Wuwei City beyond the approved scope, which caused the destruction of the forest land. The appraisal conclusion is that the area of the forest land is 14587.66 square meters, equivalent to 21.88 mu. The forest land type is arbor forest land, and the nature of forest land is commercial forest land.
Penalty basis: According to the first paragraph of Article 74 of the Forest Law of the People's Republic of China, 1. Order to restore vegetation and forestry production conditions within six months; 2. Impose a fine of 919022 58 yuan on the expenses required for restoring vegetation and forestry production conditions.
