March 24, Sanchao New Material announced that the company intends to invest in the construction of a battery technology research and development experimental base with a total investment of about 240 million yuan .
The announcement shows that the proposed battery technology research and development experimental base of Sanchao New Material is mainly engaged in basic research, application research and follow-up mass production research of perovskite crystal silicon stack technology . The later stage of the project construction is 2 years.
Sanchao New Material disclosed that the project invested 240 million yuan, of which about 170 million yuan was invested in R & D equipment (including crystalline silicon section, perovskite section, component section equipment), and about 0.7 billion yuan was invested in electromechanical and supporting facilities. The specific planning of the project is as follows:
Phase I (1st to 12th month): basic research phase. It focuses on the screening and component optimization of perovskite material system, the development of key processes for large-area tandem batteries , and the packaging process of components compatible with tandem batteries. Stage goal: the efficiency of tandem cell will exceed 34%, and the efficiency of standard module will reach 28%.
The second stage (13-24 months): mass production research stage. Focus on high-throughput process and yield verification of perovskite/crystalline silicon double-ended tandem cells, design optimization of intermediate connection layer and large-area module packaging technology. Phase objective: the component efficiency reaches 30%, the key mass production process node verification is completed, and the core patent group with intellectual property protection is formed.
As for the reasons for the construction of the project, Sanchao New Material said that it intends to achieve the goal of bringing new value growth points to the company through the research of the bottom layer and mass production technology of perovskite crystalline silicon stack.
