June 2026, the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province has successively publicized 28 production lines of phosphogypsum acid production and co-production of cement clinker , totaling 35668 t/d, with an annual clinker production capacity of about 10.7 million tons converted by 300 days. The planned production time is concentrated in 2027-2028.
A large number of phosphogypsum acid co-production cement clinker projects have aroused continuous concern in the cement industry. Under the upsurge, many practitioners have a series of practical problems that need to be answered urgently. What processes should
a ton of phosphogypsum solid waste go through before it can be converted into sulfuric acid and cement clinker? What are the key control points in the links of pretreatment, batching, decomposition, burning and acid production, and what is the difference between the whole process and the conventional cement production line and sulfur-based sulfuric acid plant, are the primary concerns of many design and production personnel. The operation difficulty of
gypsum decomposition kiln is much higher than that of ordinary cement kiln, ring formation, preheater skinning and pipeline blockage occur frequently, and the operation rate of the device is difficult to increase. What are the root causes of unstable working conditions, and what are the grasps in daily operation and system regulation that can reduce failures and ensure continuous production, which are also common problems faced by trial production projects.
Phosphorus and fluorine impurities are the "sensitive points" of this process. If the soluble phosphorus and fluorine in the raw materials fluctuate slightly, the plant may be forced to reduce its load. Where is the control range of impurities entering the kiln and how to establish a pre-control system to avoid the production risk caused by the fluctuation of raw materials in advance are directly related to the stability of the project.
