It is understood that the total investment of the project is 9 billion rand (about 3.712 billion yuan ), with a planned installed capacity of 475 MW on the AC side and 620 MW on the DC side, which is the largest solar power plant project in South Africa.

The project covers an area of more than 1000 hectares and will install more than 860000 solar panels , which will be constructed by the consortium of China Energy Construction Group and Northwest Electric Power Design Institute. The construction period is expected to be about 26 months. After the

project is put into operation, the annual power generation is estimated to be about 1.5T Wh.
