Recently, Sinoma International Engineering Co., Ltd. and Dangote Cement, an African cement giant, formally signed a strategic framework agreement worth more than $1 billion.

It is reported that the agreement was signed at a ceremony in Lagos recently. According to the strategic framework agreement, the two sides will work together to promote 12 new cement construction and expansion projects in seven African countries.
According to the agreement, the 12 cooperation projects cover seven African countries, including Nigeria, Ethiopia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Cameroon, covering new integrated production lines, plant expansion and transformation, capacity expansion and upgrading of production facilities.
At the signing ceremony, Aliko Dangote, founder and president of Dangote Group, made it clear that these projects are the key pillars to support the Group's vision of 2030. The vision plans to increase the annual cement production capacity to 80 million tons, while helping the group to achieve a total revenue target of $100 billion by 2030. Emmanuel Ikazobo, chairman of Dangote Cement, and Arvind Pathak, managing director of the group, both stressed the importance of filling the supply chain gap on the African continent.
