on June 16, Alexandre Baldy, senior vice president of BYD Brazil, revealed that BYD is expanding its battery production in Brazil. It plans to invest about $100 million (about 678 million yuan) to build a battery energy storage system production line. In
the next 90 days, the company will finalize the site selection plan for the energy storage production line, including adding production lines to the existing Manaus plant or building a new plant on another plot.
It is understood that BYD has been deeply engaged in the Brazilian market for more than ten years, and its layout is evolving from a single vehicle assembly to a trinity of "vehicle + battery + energy storage".
