As the highest single building of the project and an important part of the core process system of the cement production line, the successful capping of the preheater tower marks an important stage achievement of the project construction and creates favorable conditions for the subsequent equipment installation and system commissioning.
At present, the overall construction of Kratie Cement Project in Cambodia is progressing smoothly. In the next step, the project company will closely adhere to the annual construction objectives, comprehensively promote equipment installation, system commissioning and other key work, make every effort to promote the early completion and commissioning of the project, strive to build a demonstration project of Sino-Cambodian capacity cooperation, and make greater contributions to deepening Sino-Cambodian international capacity cooperation, promoting local economic and social development and improving people's livelihood.
It is reported that the Kratie Cement Project is the list item of the Memorandum of Understanding on Jointly Promoting the Third Round of Key Projects of Sino-Cambodian Capacity and Investment Cooperation between the Chinese and Cambodian Governments at the Belt and Road Summit in 2023, and is also the first non-electric investment project that China can build in Southeast Asia. The project adopts the international advanced new dry process cement production technology, which has the significant advantages of green environmental protection and low carbon. It is estimated that the annual output of clinker will reach 1.55 million tons and the annual output of cement will reach 1.8 million tons.
