Recently, Dengkou County Hydrogen Based Green Fuel Grid-connected Green Power Direct Connection Project (Hydrogen Production Part) of CGN (Inner Mongolia) New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. has been successfully filed. According to
the Notice of Filing, the project is located in Dengkou County Industrial Park, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 838 million yuan, and the project unit is Bayannaoer Yangtai New Energy Power Generation Co., Ltd. A hydrogen production station will be built for the hydrogen production part of
the project. A total of 22 sets of hydrogen production units will be built. Each unit is equipped with 4 sets of 1000Nm ³/H electrolytic cell equipment. There are 88 alkaline electrolytic cells in total. The total hydrogen production capacity of alkaline electrolytic cells is about 88000Nm ³/H. The annual electrolytic hydrogen production capacity of the hydrogen production project is about 39.288 million tons, and the annual production of green hydrogen is about 441.99 million Nm ³. A general step-down station for hydrogen production will be built in the hydrogen production station area to form a clear physical interface with the power grid.
The project is scheduled to start in November 2026 and be completed in December 2028.
