At present, under the guidance of the national "double carbon" strategy, the cement industry has accelerated the adjustment of industrial structure, strictly implemented the policy requirements of capacity replacement, energy saving and carbon reduction, and some traditional clinker production lines have been withdrawn according to the policy. Enterprises are faced with multiple issues such as idle assets revitalization, carbon reduction and efficiency enhancement, and bulk solid waste absorption. Yatai Building Materials Tieling Company took the initiative to seize the opportunity of industry transformation, actively explored the secondary development path of idle assets in stock, and successfully completed the project filing on October 8 by using the existing idle production line to produce solid waste-based auxiliary cementitious materials.
The Company originally had two clinker production lines of 2000 tons/day and 2500 tons/day, which will be shut down at the end of 2025 in accordance with the relevant policies of national cement capacity replacement, and the plant and core production equipment will form idle assets. In order to solve the problem of disposal of idle assets and maximize the value of stock assets, in 2026, with the overall deployment and strong support of the Group Company, the Building Materials Group and Yatai Building Materials Tieling Company, based on regional market demand and resource endowments, adhered to innovation-driven, jointly with the expert team of Changchun University of Architecture and Tianjin Design Institute, continued to carry out technical research. The project has carried out experiments and demonstrations on lime, red mud, zinc calcine and other raw materials, repeatedly optimized the formula and process route, and finally determined the transformation to produce solid waste-based low-carbon auxiliary cementitious materials (SCM).
This project belongs to the encouraged comprehensive utilization project of resources in the Guiding Catalogue of Industrial Structure Adjustment, which is deeply in line with the national "double carbon" strategy, the implementation plan of carbon peak in building materials industry and the policy guidance of comprehensive utilization of bulk solid waste. The project absorbs the solid waste resources in Tieling and its surrounding areas on the spot, synchronously utilizes the mine stripping materials owned by the enterprise, and adopts the compound medium-temperature calcination process to prepare low-carbon solid waste-based auxiliary cementitious materials, thus changing solid waste into new building materials. After the landing of the project, the triple benefits of solid waste recycling, low-carbon production and asset value will be realized, and the withdrawal of clinker production capacity will be transformed into new low-carbon building materials production capacity.
