The reason for the termination of the project is the failure of the successful bidder to perform the contract normally due to his own reasons. Located near Wusu City, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang,
the project covers the construction of a new 200 MW/800 MWh lithium iron phosphate energy storage system and supporting booster stations, 220kV transmission lines and other supporting construction projects.
Prior to this, the project had announced the successful candidate in January 2026, and the first successful candidate was Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. of China Electric Power Construction Group, with a bid price of about 750 million yuan.
The tenderee Wusu West Railway New Energy Co., Ltd. decided to re-bid for the project.
