Fujian Abolishes Nearly 1GW Photovoltaic Projects

On June 12, the Fujian Development and Reform Commission issued a notice that some photovoltaic power plant projects are no longer qualified for development due to factors such as the adjustment of relevant factor guarantee policies. It was decided to abolish 9 photovoltaic power station projects such as Fuqing Tongwei Huijin Yuguang Integration (Phase II) 60 MW photovoltaic power generation project, with a total installed capacity of 958750 kilowatts . At the same time,

the notice made it clear that the relevant functional departments in the locality would no longer accept the application for the abolition of land use and sea use for the project, and that the resources originally allocated to the project would be recovered by Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd. of the State Grid, and that the project construction which had been incorporated into the annual development and construction plan (pilot) of the photovoltaic power station in Fujian Province should be accelerated to ensure that the project is put into operation on schedule.

Previously, on February 20, 2025, Fujian Development and Reform Commission issued a notice to abolish 10 projects such as Hui'an Intelligent Photovoltaic Carbon Neutralization Project for the same reason, involving a scale of 1.143 million kilowatts.
