On October 1, the media reported that new progress had been made in lithium prospecting in western Sichuan, with an additional lithium carbonate equivalent of about 1.0468 million tons. After the completion of the reserve increase, the cumulative lithium carbonate equivalent of Maerkang Jiada Lithium Mine in Sichuan reached 2.531 million tons, further expanding the scale of the deposit and continuing to consolidate its status as a super-large pegmatite lithium mine.
Jiada lithium deposit is located in the West Kunlun-Songpan-Ganzi giant lithium belt, which belongs to the "Asian lithium belt" and is an important enrichment area of hard rock lithium deposits in China.
This time, 33.523 million tons of lithium ore resources and 423,800 tons of lithium oxide minerals were newly registered, with an average grade of 1.26%.
