On June 10, four departments (the Office of the Security Committee of the State Council, the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Construction, the Ministry of Transport and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council) jointly interviewed the chairmen of the two central enterprises, China Communications Group and China Electric Power Construction, and the principal heads of the subordinate secondary companies to consolidate the main responsibility for safe production and strictly prevent major accidents.
The interview pointed out that after the collapse disaster of Meida Expressway in Guangdong Province and the collapse disaster of Aba Malkang Red Flag Bridge in Sichuan Province, the following problems were exposed, such as the enterprises concerned did not attach importance to the basic work of survey and design, jerry-building, fraud, subcontracting of survey and design, illegal subcontracting, contracting for management, and safety management. As well as the same kind of accident hidden danger repeatedly investigates repeatedly commits and so on.
The interview requires the two enterprises to draw lessons from the accident, rectify the construction fraud, standardize subcontracting management, and comprehensively investigate potential safety hazards. At the same time, in view of the situation of increasing extreme weather in flood season, we should strictly grasp the work of safety in production.
