Recently, a "thousand-mile light boat" cargo liner loaded with 5500 tons of cement clinker slowly left the conch wharf in Zhongxian County, Chongqing, and headed for the upstream Fuling Longqiao Exhibition Finance Wharf, marking the official opening and operation of the "thousand-mile light boat" route from Zhongxian County to Fuling. Press the "acceleration key" to reduce logistics costs and increase efficiency in Zhongxian and even Northeast Chongqing. The opening of this route is an important measure for Zhongxian County to implement Chongqing's "thousand-mile light boat" water transport development action, focusing on speeding up the construction of a strong transportation county, giving full play to the comparative advantages of water transport, and promoting the cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency of logistics.

It is reported that the opening of the route is mainly suitable for water cargo, including cement, clinker, sand aggregate, coal, wet fly ash, fly ash and so on, with an estimated annual freight volume of about 500000 tons. The first voyage realizes two-way cargo flow, significantly improves the efficiency of ship operation, and provides strong support for regional logistics to reduce costs, improve quality and increase efficiency. In the initial stage of opening, the route is planned to operate two flights per month. With the continuous excavation and organizational optimization of the follow-up cargo sources, the flights will be gradually encrypted, striving to reach one flight per week.

In the future, Zhongxian will rely on the resource advantages of Xinsheng Port, Conch Wharf, Industrial Park, Industrial and Mining Enterprises to steadily promote all kinds of work. In addition to the Zhongxian-Fuling route that has been opened, Zhongxian-Wanzhou route and Zhongxian-Fengjie route are actively planned. By the end of 2026, we will strive to open two "thousand-mile canoe" cargo liner routes; by the end of 2030, we will further expand to three to five routes, continue to attract more water-suitable cargo "transit water", and inject strong water energy into serving regional economic development and building a green and efficient comprehensive transportation system.
