In the project, L & T plays the role of EPC general contractor and is responsible for the design, procurement and construction of the whole project. The project, developed by Saudi International Power and Water Company (ACWA Power), has a total installed capacity of 1.2G W and is an important milestone in Uzbekistan 's energy transformation . After the

project is completed and put into operation, the annual power generation will meet the electricity demand of about 600000 households, and the annual carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 1.4 million tons.
