On June 4, the delegation of Hebei Building Materials Industry Association went to Shandong Cement Industry Association to hold a symposium. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and practical discussions on common issues such as the current operation characteristics of the building materials industry, changes in the market environment and industrial transformation and upgrading. This visit is a concrete practice of Hebei Association to actively innovate its working methods and serve the healthy development of the industry, aiming at learning from the advanced experience of other provinces and jointly exploring a new path for the high-quality development of the cement industry. During the
discussion, the two sides analyzed the current situation and challenges faced by the building materials industry, and agreed that under the background of fluctuations in market demand and rising operating costs, the industry urgently needs to promote the dynamic balance of supply and demand and the reasonable recovery of benefits by optimizing production organization, strengthening quality self-discipline and speeding up the withdrawal of inefficient production capacity. Hebei Association introduced the province's practices in guiding enterprises to rationally arrange production and promoting energy-saving and carbon-reducing transformation. At the same time, it listened carefully to the mature experience of Shandong Association in establishing production and operation accounts, cooperating with the competent authorities to regulate market order, and guiding key enterprises to play an exemplary role. The two sides frankly exchanged views on the difficulties encountered in their respective work, focusing on how to rely on the industry self-discipline mechanism to improve the quality of operation, and how to strengthen the supervision of production capacity through digital means.
Focusing on the long-term and healthy development of the industry, the two sides discussed feasible ways to guide the orderly withdrawal of inefficient production capacity through market-oriented and legalized means, including exploring the establishment of an industry mutual capacity adjustment mechanism and building a regional supply chain collaborative service platform. We should strictly abide by the principle of fair competition and always take the improvement of the overall technical level, environmental protection level and safety level of the industry as the fundamental starting point.
The symposium has achieved positive and pragmatic results. The two sides agreed to establish a normal communication mechanism, conduct regular joint research on common problems in the industry, timely reflect the demands of enterprises to relevant authorities, and promote the improvement of supporting policies such as capacity management, quality supervision and environmental protection constraints. At the same time, the associations of Hebei and Shandong provinces will strengthen information sharing and carry out deeper cooperation in standardizing market order, cracking down on illegal production and operation, and promoting green production experience.
