On September 24, Yiwei Lithium Energy announced the transfer of 45% of Hubei Enjie's equity to Shanghai Enjie at a price of 1.15 billion yuan.
Yiwei Lithium Energy said that the main reason for the transfer was to optimize the asset structure, concentrate superior resources to develop the main business, recover investment costs and improve asset liquidity. According to
public information, the cooperation between the two sides began in 2021 when the diaphragm was most scarce. In order to lock in raw materials, the two sides jointly established Hubei Enjie in Jingmen and invested 5.2 billion in diaphragm projects, with Shanghai Enjie holding 55% and Yiwei Lithium Energy holding 45%.
As of the first half of this year, Hubei Enjie realized a turnaround, with a net profit of 226 million yuan, and as of June 30, the company's net assets were 1.619 billion yuan. With the withdrawal of Yiwei Lithium Energy, Hubei Enjie will be operated independently by Enjie shares.
