On September 22, Wu Qingtao, President of China Building Materials Federation, met with Zhang Anping, Chairman of Taiwan Cement Group and his delegation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the capacity management of the cement industry and the transformation of green and low-carbon development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. He pointed out that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the building materials industry should focus on optimizing and upgrading the traditional building materials industry, cultivating and strengthening the new inorganic non-metallic materials industry, integrating and upgrading the non-metallic mineral resources industry, promoting the industrial structure adjustment and dynamic transformation of the industry, and effectively responding to the drastic adjustment of the market structure and the changes in the demand of upstream and downstream industries. The cement industry should continue to deepen the promotion of capacity management, promote the optimization and adjustment of supply and demand structure, and achieve quality and efficiency improvement; adhere to the direction of green and low-carbon development, deepen the adjustment of energy structure, and continuously improve the proportion of coal substitution and green electricity application; continue to improve the recycling level of bulk solid waste, and promote raw material substitution; Accelerate the research and development, production and application of low-carbon carbon sequestration cementitious materials, enrich the low-carbon product system, take various measures to accelerate energy saving and carbon reduction in the cement industry, promote the coordinated green development of upstream and downstream industrial chains, and contribute to the construction of beautiful China. Zhang Anping thanked the Federation for its support to Taiwan Mud, introduced the circular economy practice of Taiwan Mud's "urban mining area", as well as the technical exploration in the aspects of construction waste recycling, recycled aggregate, permeable concrete, and research and development of new low-carbon cementitious materials.
