in Zambia, the 36MWp photovoltaic power generation project of China Building Material Zambia Industrial Park operated and managed by Sinoma Cement Zambia Company was successfully connected to the grid. It marks that the enterprise has taken a solid step towards building an overseas zero-purchase power plant and achieving the goal of green and low carbon.

As a core measure for enterprises to implement the strategy of energy structure optimization and sustainable development, the project makes full use of the abundant local solar energy resources and adopts advanced photovoltaic power generation technology to provide stable and clean power support for the park. The project, together with the waste heat power generation project under construction in the park, constitutes a complementary power supply mode of "photovoltaic + waste heat", which will form a green energy matrix with a total installed capacity of 43.5 MW after being put into use, with an estimated average annual power generation of 110 million degrees, which can meet 100% of the production and operation needs of the park. It can replace and save about 31900 tons of standard coal annually, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 62400 tons, and significantly improve the environmental benefits and energy self-support capacity of the park.

This is not only a vivid manifestation of the firm implementation of the concept of green and low-carbon development by enterprises, but also another practical achievement of China-Africa cooperation in the field of clean energy. Enterprises will take this successful grid-connection as an opportunity to further promote the optimization of energy structure and the upgrading of intelligent management in the park, continue to promote the construction of green energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, build green low-carbon factories with demonstration significance, continue to deepen Sino-African cooperation, and contribute to the sustainable development of Zambia and even the African region. Promote the high-quality development of "the Belt and Road" through efficient and pragmatic actions.
