February 5, during the Fourth Session of the 14th National People's Congress of Anhui Province, Yang Jun, deputy of the People's Congress of Anhui Province, Secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Conch Group, said in an interview with CCTV that he would speed up the promotion of dry ice as an auxiliary material for explosive blasting to promote green and low-carbon development.

Yang Jun told reporters that the "explosive-dry ice" collaborative rock breaking mechanism and application research project initiated by Anhui Conch Group and Anhui University of Technology won the first prize of the 2024 Science and Technology Award of China Blasting Industry Association. Through the production test, the technology shows three significant advantages: high safety; good economic benefits; green and low carbon.
Yang Jun said frankly that in the process of promoting dry ice-assisted explosive blasting, although it has shown good economic, environmental and social benefits, it still faces the following problems: First, there is a lack of standards and policy support for the application of special scenarios; Second, it is difficult to promote innovative achievements across fields.
To this end, Yang Jun suggested that it should be incorporated into the special plan in the formulation of the "15th Five-Year Plan" of Anhui Province, and accelerate the establishment of a coordinated promotion system of "government support, industry guidance and enterprise participation".
