Recently, the central laboratory of Yunnan Yiliang Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. has successfully obtained the laboratory accreditation qualification of China National Accreditation Committee for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), which indicates that the technical ability and management level of the laboratory in the field of cement and coal testing have fully reached the national accreditation standards.
The CNAS accreditation covers the two major testing sectors of cement and coal, focusing on the coal testing business under the carbon peak and carbon neutralization targets. Since its establishment in June 2020, the laboratory has accepted the dual management of regional companies and member enterprises, and has won the third prize of China Building Material Group Technology Innovation Award and the honorary title of "National Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Industry Demonstration Innovation Studio" awarded by China Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Workers Technical Association. After years of construction, the laboratory can accurately carry out the detection of key indicators such as total water, moisture, ash, volatile matter, total sulfur, calorific value, carbon, hydrogen, carbonate, carbon dioxide and light transmittance of coal, which not only provides authoritative data support for accurate accounting of carbon emissions, but also reduces the cost of detection.
In the future, the laboratory will take the opportunity of obtaining CNAS qualification to continuously improve its testing capability and inject strong impetus into the high-quality green development of regions and enterprises.
