Huaxin Cement announced on the evening of October 8 that the board of directors of the company agreed to change the Chinese name of the company from "Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd." To "Huaxin Building Materials Group Co., Ltd.", and the abbreviation of the company's A-share securities from "Huaxin Cement" to "Huaxin Building Materials". The 600801 of the Company's A-share stock code remains unchanged.
The announcement said that in the past two decades, through the implementation of integrated development strategy, environmental protection transformation development strategy, overseas development strategy and business development strategy of new building materials, the company has successively increased the production and sale of commercial concrete, aggregate and cement-based high-tech building materials, and the environmental protection business of co-disposal of waste in cement kilns. Domestic and international cement engineering general contracting, equipment and engineering contracting of cement kiln co-processing technology and other related businesses have developed from a local cement plant to a business covering 17 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions in China and 20 countries overseas, with more than 300 subsidiaries. It is a global building materials group involved in the integrated development of the whole industrial chain in the fields of cement, concrete, aggregate, environmental protection, equipment manufacturing and engineering, and new building materials. The "cement" in the existing name of the Company can no longer fully cover the type of business of the Company. The change of the name of the Company and the abbreviation of securities will realize the consistency between the business scope and the name of the Company, accurately interpret the positioning of the Company, better respond to the corporate vision, and further empower the Company with brand value, which is in line with the interests of the Company and all shareholders. To sum up, it is proposed to change the name of the company to "Huaxin Building Materials Group Co., Ltd.", and to change the abbreviation of A-share securities to "Huaxin Building Materials".
According to the disclosure, the change of company name and the amendment of the Articles of Association still need to be submitted to the shareholders'meeting for consideration and approval, and the registration procedures for the change need to be handled in the market supervision and management department. The name of the company after the change shall be subject to the final registration by the market supervision and management department. The proposed change of the short name of the securities of the Company shall be subject to the approval of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the short name of the securities approved by the Shanghai Stock Exchange shall prevail.
