banner, there is a story of warm-hearted rescue. 35 P. M. on January 24, the staff on duty at the Wujiang Gate Water Inspection Station received an alarm from the crew for help. Harmony Shunda shipped 1600 tons of cement from Panjing Cement Plant in Hexian County to Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. Due to unfamiliarity with the route and poor sight at night, it hit a reef in the waterway of Tuanjie Bridge, causing the bottom cabin of the bow to break into the water. The ship tilted and sank, the ship failed to grab the beach, and the situation was extremely critical.
Wujiang Gate checkpoint immediately started the emergency response process, five law enforcement officers divided into two routes, carrying submersible pumps and other relief supplies rushed to the scene. On the way, the law enforcement officers notified the Nanjing Traffic Law Enforcement Five Detachment Six Brigade and Pukou Traffic Law Enforcement Brigade of the accident area by telephone, and released the information of temporary traffic control in the accident waters at the Wujiang River Estuary Gate Service Group and VHF Channel 60.
Law enforcement officers rushed to the waters of the accident ship and found that the two air compartments in the bow of the accident ship had been filled with water, the stern engine room was still filling water rapidly, and the port board of the ship was also inclined to fill water. The accident crew is using the pump to drain water, because the water is too fast, the ship is still sinking. After confirming the safety of the ship personnel and the absence of water pollution accidents, the law enforcement officers asked the captain to continue to use the pump to drain water, while calling the professional diving team to plug the leak.
Subsequently, traffic law enforcement officers from Nanjing and Pukou arrived at the scene of the accident one after another. Law enforcement officers from Jiangsu and Anhui comforted the crew while registering and reporting the accident information. At the same time, they notified nearby ships and crew members to rush to the scene of the accident by telephone and VHF calls. Through the joint efforts of all people, the trend of ship inclination and sinking was stabilized. 30 on the same day, the professional diving team came to the scene and took underwater welding to plug the leak in the cabin. At noon on January 25, the four ruptures at the bottom of the ship were found and blocked, the water in the cabin was completely drained, and the accident ship was completely out of danger.
