UHPC Wet Joint Pouring of Dongtingxi yuanshui Bridge Deck of Zhangguan Expressway in Hunan Province Successfully Completed

On September 19, the UHPC wet joint construction project of Dongtingxi yuanshui Bridge on Zhangguan Expressway, undertaken by China Railway Bridge Research Institute Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Bridge Research Institute"), was successfully completed. This project is the first application of coarse aggregate UHPC in the wet joint of long-span steel-concrete composite girder suspension bridge in China, which marks another major breakthrough in the collaborative innovation of UHPC material structure in the Academy of Bridge Sciences. of Dongting River yuanshui Bridge is (220 + 800 + 238) m double-tower single-span suspension bridge. The main bridge of the suspension bridge is in the form of steel-concrete composite beam section, the cable tower is in the form of portal tower, the pile group foundation design is adopted below the bearing platform, and the anchorage on both sides is gravity anchorage. There are some construction problems in mountainous areas, such as difficult management and control, strict environmental protection requirements, and high quality standard positioning.

In order to solve the problems of insufficient performance of traditional wet joints and heavy workload of joint concrete, the UHPC technical team of the Academy of Bridge Sciences carried out the UHPC wet joint model test of precast concrete bridge deck of composite beams, and developed the UCA100 coarse aggregate UHPC with low shrinkage and high steady state. The reliability of the optimized structure of the wet joint is verified by the comparative tests of six full-scale slab models, which greatly reduces the width of the joint, simplifies the connection structure of the steel bar, realizes the welding-free construction of the joint steel bar, and significantly improves the construction quality and efficiency of the wet joint pouring.

Dongtingxi yuanshui

Bridge is a key control project of the expressway from Zhangjiajie to yuanling Guanzhuang, with a total length of 1707 meters. The main bridge is designed as a double-tower single-span suspension bridge with a span of 800 meters, which will be connected with the expressway network with a total length of 32.6 kilometers after completion. Construct the north-south fast passage from Zhangjiajie to Huaihua, and effectively promote regional resource flow and economic integration.
