2025, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the Work Program of the National Carbon Emission Trading Market Covering Steel, Cement and Aluminum Smelting Industries, requiring the cement industry to complete its first performance by the end of 2025, and gradually tighten the carbon quota to give full play to the function of the carbon market. Recently, various provinces and municipalities in China have issued a list of key emission units in the carbon emission trading market (cement industry) in 2025. Statistics show that a total of 1011 cement enterprises in 31 provinces are included.
At present, the global climate change crisis is intensifying, and the promotion of China's "double carbon" goal is urgent. Cement industry, as a key area of carbon emission reduction, is facing unprecedented challenges. At the same time, the fluctuation of energy prices, the continuous upgrading of environmental protection standards, the increasingly fierce market competition and the superposition of multiple pressures have forced the cement industry to take a green and low-carbon transformation path.
Energy saving, carbon reduction and environmental protection and emission reduction are not only passive choices to cope with external pressures, but also active responsibilities for the cement industry to achieve sustainable development.
