Tongling City has become an important cement building material base in the Yangtze River Basin.

Recently, Tongling Bureau of Industry and Information Technology issued a reply to Proposal No.0054 of the Fourth Session of the Tenth CPPCC. It is mentioned that after years of development, Tongling City has become an important cement building material base in the Yangtze River Basin.

At present, there are three cement plants in the city, Tongling Conch, Zongyang Conch and Shangfeng Cement . The clinker production capacity is about 30.7 million tons/year (the largest production capacity in the city), and the cement production capacity is 9.2 million tons/year.

Tongling Conch produces 14.5 million tons of clinker and 7 million tons of cement annually, which is the largest cement clinker production base in the world. The first 10,000-ton line in China is in Tongling, and the first localization line is also in Tongling. In 2024, the output value of building materials industry will exceed 10 billion yuan.
