Recently, according to relevant platform information, China Railway Fifth Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has been imposed an administrative penalty of 180 days of suspension and rectification by the housing and urban and rural construction authorities.
The punishment decision is: 180 days of suspension of business for rectification. During the period of suspension of business for rectification, no new project shall be contracted with the special-grade qualification for general contracting of construction projects.
The decision date is December 16, 2025 and is valid until June 14, 2026.
The specific reasons have not been made public.
However, the punishment of the Fifth Bureau of China Railway is not an isolated incident. On June 18,
2025, the Procurement and Assets Management Bureau of the Army Logistics Department issued an informed notice announcing that the Fifth Bureau of China Railway was suspected of improper performance of the contract and other irregularities in the procurement activities of the 361st Regiment Barracks Construction Project (Project No.: 13023). Suspend the qualification of China Railway Fifth Bureau to participate in the procurement activities of military material engineering services.
