At the meeting, the building materials associations of 18 brotherly provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, such as Shaanxi Building Materials Federation, Guangdong Building Materials Industry Association, Beijing Building Materials Federation and Inner Mongolia Cement Association, sent congratulatory telegrams and letters to congratulate the successful convening of the fourth general meeting of Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association. The meeting listened carefully to, deliberated and voted on the work report, financial report and supervisor report of the third Council of the association, deliberated and adopted the new constitution and membership fee management measures of the association, and elected the fourth Council and supervisor. At the first meeting of the four subsequent councils, a new leading body of the association was elected. The meeting also held the handover ceremony of the new and old presidents and the certificate issuing ceremony of the president's unit and the vice president's unit. Wang Luyan, chairman of Xinjiang Tianshan Cement Co., Ltd., was elected president of the association
by secret ballot. Li Jingmei is the Secretary-General of the association.
The conference pays high tribute and thanks to the previous directors who are diligent, responsible and selfless in the reform and development of Xinjiang's building materials industry! I sincerely hope that the new Council will continue to lead the industry to create new achievements under the leadership of the Party Committee and the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and under the correct guidance of the China Building Materials Federation and the relevant departments at all levels in Xinjiang, and work together to push forward the cause of the building materials industry in Xinjiang.
At the handover ceremony of the new and old presidents, the new president Wang Luyan delivered a speech. He said that he would spare no effort to carry out the work of the association, play the role of the association as a link, actively maintain the industry ecology, continue to build a good industry order, strengthen industry norms, and do a good job in service, especially to provide quality services for member units. He said that he would live up to expectations and lead the association to contribute to the high-quality development of Xinjiang's building materials industry. Gao Huabin, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Office of Industry and Information Technology of
the Autonomous Region, fully affirmed the work of the Third Council and warmly congratulated the successful convening of the conference. He said that in the past five years, the association has closely combined the actual situation and industrial characteristics of the autonomous region, vigorously promoted the steady development of the industry and promoted the local economic development. In particular, the association has made remarkable achievements in the promotion and application of new technologies, green and low carbon. Especially in the landing of oxygen-enriched combustion technology, the application of cotton straw as an alternative fuel in the cement industry and other projects have successfully achieved trial production, which is of great significance to promote the green low-carbon sustainable development of the industry.
For the future work of the industry, he proposed:
First, we should continue to strengthen the innovation-driven development strategy. Enterprises should increase R & D investment, actively carry out key technology research actions, focusing on intelligent manufacturing, high-performance materials and other key areas, to achieve more breakthroughs in innovation. The association should further develop the advantages of the platform, promote the efficient integration and sharing of innovative resources, and provide strong support for the innovation and development of the industry.
Second, it should unswervingly establish the concept of green development. As a key area of energy consumption and carbon emission, the building materials industry should continue to increase efforts in energy conservation, emission reduction and comprehensive utilization of resources, and actively promote the application of advanced environmental protection technologies and equipment.
Third, make every effort to promote the process of industrial structure optimization and upgrading. Associations should guide enterprises to optimize the allocation of resources, enhance industrial concentration, encourage enterprises to extend to the high end of the industrial chain, cultivate and strengthen a number of leading enterprises with core competitiveness, promote the coordinated development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and build an industrial pattern with reasonable division of labor and complementary advantages through mergers and reorganizations and technological transformation;
Fourth, actively expand the dimension of market space, strengthen market research, accurately grasp the dynamic trend of market demand, strive to open up both domestic and international markets, help Xinjiang building materials products go out, and enhance the market share and international influence of the industry. At the same time, we should strengthen industry self-discipline, standardize market order, and create a fair competition, healthy and orderly market environment. Yan Xiaofeng, secretary and president of the Party Committee of
China Building Materials Federation, pointed out that under the guidance of the association, the building materials industry in Xinjiang has achieved good results and established a perfect industrial system by taking the national strategy of developing the western region as an opportunity and relying on the advantages of regional resources and energy. Under the background of current green and low-carbon development and changes in market demand, Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association should not stick to conventions, but continue to emancipate the mind, take the initiative to change, identify its own advantages, forge long boards, make up short boards, strengths and weaknesses, and develop advantages; it should rely on scientific and technological innovation to promote the research and development of new technologies and products, constantly create new demands and open up new tracks; We should make good use of Xinjiang's geographical advantages, aim at the West Asia and Middle East markets, and speed up Xinjiang's building materials products to go out of Xinjiang and go abroad; we should make good use of Xinjiang's advantages of green energy such as solar energy and wind energy to build low-carbon or even zero-carbon building materials industry clusters; we should give full play to Xinjiang's unique regional advantages, speed up the promotion of Xinjiang's building materials industry quality brand, and speed up the cultivation and development of independent brands. Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association and representatives of relevant industry associations, enterprises, higher vocational colleges and news media from both inside and outside Xinjiang attended the meeting.
