The Technical Standard for Durability of Concrete Structures in Coastal Engineering (hereinafter referred to as the Standard) (GB/T 51464-2024) will be formally implemented on January 1, 2025.
The Standard is applicable to the design, construction, maintenance and demolition of coastal engineering concrete structures, aiming at ensuring that coastal engineering concrete structures reach the predetermined design working life, so as to achieve advanced technology, safety and durability, economic rationality, low-carbon environmental protection and quality assurance. The quantitative design theory and technology of concrete structure durability
adopted in the Standard have successfully solved the key problem that the traditional design technology is difficult to give consideration to both strength and durability in the calculation model and design parameters; It effectively solves the technical defects of the current standard that the qualitative design of durability is sometimes conservative, resulting in economic waste, and sometimes dangerous, resulting in insufficient durability, promotes the technical progress of the durability design of concrete structures, and realizes the standardization and standardization of the quantitative design technology of durability of concrete structures in coastal engineering.
