According to foreign media reports, on December 25, Purelight Power, an American solar module installer, announced that it would permanently lay off 109 people nationwide, stop its business operations nationwide and file for bankruptcy liquidation.

As for the company's predicament, JD Beck, chief executive of Purelight Power, explained that the "Big and Beautiful" bill , which had been passed before, had sharply reduced the amount of tax credits for solar projects and restricted the use of tax credits. It has had a significant impact on the company's business and profitability.
JD Beck said that since Trump took office, the government has reversed its support for renewable energy, "solar incentives have disappeared, investment has dried up," and "Purelight Power has been unable to finance new projects, sell its assets to other companies, or obtain loans to fund operations.".
According to Purelight Power, the layoffs began on October 23, and more employees will be laid off on December 26. The 109 layoffs include 71 employees in Medford, 13 executives and 25 telecommuters. According to
the company's official website, Purelight Power was founded in Medford, Oregon, in 2017. Since its inception, it has been committed to providing solar energy solutions to customers all over the United States.
