According to its introduction, Conch Cement has been coveting the Henan market, after the establishment of the marketing company this year, the impact of Conch on the Henan market, especially the southeastern Henan market, has increased significantly.
According to reports, Shangqiu, Zhoukou and other places in southeastern Henan are the forefront of conch cement entering the Henan market. After entering the local market, the price of conch cement from Huaibei, Bozhou, Suzhou and other places is lower than that of local cement.
The above-mentioned enterprises also highlighted that in recent years, the shipping conditions in southeastern Henan have improved significantly, which has also created conditions for Conch Cement to strengthen the layout of Henan market.
It is understood that Zhoukou Port is the second largest inland shipping port in the north, second only to Jining Port in Shandong Province. In recent years, in order to improve inland shipping conditions, Zhoukou City has increased the construction of Zhoukou Port Area, relying on the unique advantages of Shaying River in inland water transport, and has determined a major strategic plan for the development of port-vicinity economy. The Zhoukou section of the Shaying River waterway is a Class IV waterway, which can reach the Class III waterway standard after upgrading and transformation, and can pass 2000 tons of single ships and more than 10000 tons of towing teams all the year round.
In addition, it should be noted that there is a huge difference between Henan and Anhui in the time of peak staggering. Data show that in 2025 , the average peak staggering kiln shutdown of Henan cement enterprises is about 240, while Anhui cement enterprises only shut down kilns for more than 120 days. With the help of strict implementation of peak staggering production, Henan cement industry has alleviated the excess pressure to a certain extent, but did not want to attract the inflow of Anhui cement with far fewer days of kiln shutdown.
In fact, a similar situation is also playing out in Shandong. In recent years, Shandong cement industry has shut down the cement clinker line of 2500t/d and below, effectively reducing the production capacity in the province, but the remaining cement enterprises have not benefited directly, but have attracted a large number of foreign cement imports from Yantai, Qingdao and other ports. Of course, it also includes cement and clinker from Anhui.
At present, with the decline of demand, the intensification of competition in the cement market and the strengthening of regional liquidity of cement, it is more and more difficult to stabilize the regional market situation through the supply reform of a single region. If multi-regional linkage can not be achieved, the compression of the supply side may eventually become "making wedding clothes for others".
