On August 19, the Zhongguancun Energy Storage Industry Technology Alliance (hereinafter referred to as "CNESA") released data on the energy storage industry in the first half of 2025. Data show that by the end of June this year, the cumulative installed capacity of power storage in China has reached 164.3GW, an increase of about 60% over the same period last year.
Among them, the cumulative installed capacity of new energy storage exceeded 100GW, reaching 101.3GW, an increase of 110% over the same period last year. The cumulative installed capacity of new energy storage has reached 32 times that of the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
CNESA predicts that in 2030, the cumulative installed capacity of China's new energy storage will reach 236.1GW under conservative scenarios, exceed 291 GW under ideal scenarios, and the compound growth rate will exceed 20% in the next five years.
