this year, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has intensively issued a combination of carbon management and green development policies for the cement industry, putting forward clear quantitative targets from the incorporation of the national carbon emission trading market, energy efficiency upgrading to ultra-low emission transformation, marking that the cement industry has formally entered the key stage of "carbon constraints" and "green transformation".
In this context, China Cement Network will hold the "2025 China Cement Double Carbon Conference and the 13th Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology Exchange Conference" on May 27-28, which can be regarded as the "strategic hub station" for the industry to cope with policy changes.
From the perspective of policy, the meeting precisely anchored three major policy pain points: First , the carbon emissions trading market covers the cement industry for the first time, requiring the completion of the first performance before the end of the year, which means that enterprises will face the new challenges of carbon cost accounting, quota management and market transactions; Secondly , the rigid target of 30% of energy efficiency benchmarking capacity forces enterprises to speed up the elimination of backward technology and promote the iteration of energy-saving technology; Thirdly , the ultra-low emission transformation not only involves the transformation task of 50% clinker production capacity, but also emphasizes the demonstration and leading role of state-owned enterprises in key regions, superimposes the window period of central fund subsidies, and tests the speed of enterprise policy response and the ability of project landing.
