On April 24, the Ministry of Transport held a press conference. Tao Hanxiang, deputy director of the Highway Bureau, introduced that this year, the Ministry of Transport will continue to make efforts to implement a new round of rural highway upgrading actions and accelerate the improvement of the modern rural transportation system. It is planned to rebuild 100000 kilometers of rural roads

throughout the year, add 250 townships with three or more grades of roads, and add 12000 natural villages (groups) with large population with hardened roads.

Industry insiders said that the new reconstruction of 100000 kilometers of rural roads is expected to boost domestic cement demand to a certain extent, but the volume will not be very large, expected to be 20-30 million tons.
