Recently, in order to implement the classified management of environmental impact assessment of construction projects, according to the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment, the Catalogue of Classified Management of Environmental Impact Assessment of Construction Projects (revised draft for comments) has been formulated. According to the characteristics of construction projects and the environmental sensitivity of the region,
the Catalogue comprehensively considers the possible impact of construction projects on the environment, and classifies the environmental impact assessment of construction projects. Construction units shall, in accordance with the provisions of this catalogue, organize the preparation of environmental impact reports, environmental impact reports or environmental impact registration forms for construction projects. Article 5 of
the Catalogue stipulates that construction projects not specified in the Catalogue shall not be included in the management of environmental impact assessment of construction projects; If the competent department of ecological environment at the provincial level considers it necessary to include the construction projects not specified in this list in the management of environmental impact assessment of construction projects, it may, according to the characteristics of pollution factors and ecological impact factors of construction projects and the sensitive nature and degree of the environment in which they are located, put forward suggestions for classified management of environmental impact assessment, which shall be submitted to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment for confirmation and implementation.
