Shanxi Cement Industry Staggered Peak Production Work Conference Held

On April 10, with the approval of Shanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and Shanxi Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, Shanxi Building Materials Industry Association organized the "Provincial Cement Industry Peak-Staggered Production Work Conference" by combining online and offline ways (with the main venue and four sub-venues). Focusing on "earnestly implementing the policy of normal peak staggering production in cement industry, strengthening industry self-discipline, curbing involution competition and promoting steady growth of industry benefits", the

conference made a comprehensive summary of the implementation of peak staggering production in cement industry from 2024 to 2025. Arrange and deploy the work of peak staggering production in non-heating season in 2025 and steady growth of the industry to increase benefits.

At the meeting, the situation of peak staggering production from 2024 to 2025 was summarized and reported.

From 2024 to 2025, the peak-staggering production in Shanxi Province has received positive response from the cement clinker production enterprises in the whole province, and the overall operation is stable and orderly, with the overall kiln shutdown rate reaching 100%.

But the problem is also very prominent, individual enterprises staggered peak production implementation is not in place, seriously undermining the seriousness of staggered peak production, credibility and industry fairness, self-discipline principles, the meeting criticized the implementation of the enterprise.

As of March 15, 2025, the average number of kiln shutdown days of 52 production lines was 251 days, the rate of kiln opening was 31% , and the number of kiln shutdown days of off-peak production had exceeded the original target of 201 days, which achieved remarkable results in energy saving, emission reduction and environmental protection benefits through off-peak production. A total of 28.22 million tons of clinker and 36.11 million tons of cement were reduced

in the whole year, and the annual coal consumption was reduced by 4.544 million tons of standard coal. In terms of pollutant emission reduction, particulate matter emissions were reduced by 0.19 million tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 0.1 million tons, nitrogen oxide emissions by 26.5 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 34.18 million tons. The leaders of the

five working groups (Taiyuan Jinzhong District, Luliang District, Jinnan District, Jindongnan District and Jinbei District) made statements respectively, and the principal leaders of enterprises such as Jinyu Jidong Yangquan Taiyuan District and Shanshui Group Shanxi Operating Area spoke as representatives of enterprises.

In their speeches, they expounded their understanding of the peak-shifting production work in the cement industry as the main body of implementation, introduced the specific situation of actively implementing the peak-shifting production policy and the problems in the implementation process of the peak-shifting production plan, provided relevant suggestions to solve the problems, and clearly expressed

that they would resolutely implement the spirit of the meeting. Earnestly study the experience and practices of advanced regions, and always adhere to the concept that the interests of the industry are greater than those of the enterprise, and that the interests of the enterprise are contained in the interests of the industry.
