Wang Yumeng, Deputy General Manager of China National Building Material Group, and His Delegation Went to Iraq for Investigation

Recently, Wang Yumeng, Vice General Manager of China Building Materials Group, and his delegation went to Baghdad and Sulaimaniya, Iraq, to conduct field research and work guidance on the projects under construction in Iraq subsidiary of Sinoma International and the Kurdish region. During

the investigation, Wang Yumeng and his delegation paid a special visit to the Chinese Embassy in Iraq and held working talks with Commercial Counsellor Yu Shiwei. Wang Yumeng systematically introduced the overall development of China Building Materials Group and its business layout in Iraq, and conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as the Iraqi market environment and reconstruction opportunities. Counsellor Yu Shiwei expressed his appreciation for the achievements made by China Building Material Group. He pointed out that Iraq is still at a critical stage of post-war reconstruction and has a strong demand for infrastructure construction, but it also faces practical challenges such as slow progress of projects and increasingly fierce market competition. He suggested that Chinese-funded enterprises should strengthen risk provention and control, learn from successful experience, promote orderly competition and achieve sound and sustainable development.

At the headquarters of Sinoma International Iraq subsidiary in Baghdad, Wang Yumeng attended the Sinoma International Localization Development Symposium, listened to the subsidiary's special report on the development process and operating results, and exchanged cordially with local employees. During the discussion, Wang Yumeng put forward five work requirements: first, uphold the concept of win-win cooperation and strive to become a long-term partner trusted by customers; second, focus on core advantages to promote related diversified development, adhere to the ability, indicators and brand-oriented steady expansion of business; third, firmly follow the path of high-quality development, and implement the strategic direction of "high-end, intelligent, green and international" of the Group; Fourth, we will accelerate the pace of localized development, actively create local employment, and continuously improve the well-being of employees. Fifth, we will strictly adhere to the bottom line of safety and compliance, fully respect local laws and regulations and cultural customs, and lay a solid foundation for sustainable development. In addition, he also stressed that near the end of the year, all units should make every effort to achieve the annual target tasks and continuously strengthen the construction of Party building and honest style of work.

The research team also went to the steel structure processing plant of the northern service center of the Iraqi subsidiary and the DCC project site to carry out special safety production inspection. During the inspection, Wang Yumeng pointed out that the site safety and civilized construction are generally controllable, but we still need to focus on environmental protection indicators, energy consumption management, waste heat and photovoltaic power generation, so as to continuously improve the level of intelligent application and ensure that all kinds of problems are rectified in place. During his

stay in Iraq, Wang Yumeng met with important partners such as UNQCC, SCC, DCC and VAN Group. During the talks, he introduced the advantages of China Building Materials Group in the fields of cement, glass and new materials, as well as its leading strength in new energy technologies such as power generation glass, lithium batteries and photovoltaic glass. He said that Iraq's reconstruction market has great potential, and China Building Materials Group is willing to deepen strategic cooperation with all parties, starting from cement and green building materials cooperation, and gradually expanding to new energy projects such as distributed photovoltaic and power generation glass, so as to jointly promote Iraq's green low-carbon transformation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation.
